I have been informed that due to the rule changes on elections to the Coop Party NEC I am not able to proceed with seeking re-election. Whilst I am obviously extremely disappointed that I will not be able to take part in the democratic process, I have to make clear that the new rules were designed to make the NEC more open, inclusive and accountable.
I wish those who are able to go forward to the ballot paper the very best of luck in the elections and I will be cheering from the sidelines.
